My daughter Taelor Akens is now in the alternative education program, due to your suggestion. I am furious about this whole situation. I as a parent have never dropped the ball. My daughter recieved her varsity letter her sophmore year and I was called at work from your atheletic director on how proud he was of her. Two years later as she approaches her senior year I am informmed that Taelor had failed her sophmore and junior year. I am even more furious at the fact that some of her credits do not apply to this program. My first questiom is "how did Taelor earn a varsity letter and was able to golf for your school when she never was in school?" I had called constantly, over and over again I was told they watch them just get into cars and leave. I was under the impression that when my child got on that bus and walked into your school she was then your responsibility. Again, I was so wrong. You have a school monitor do you not????? I am a single mother who desperately is trying to get my daughter a high school diploma. Now that she is in your alternative education program I have learned that they "lose" or do not accept some of her credits" This is ridiculous. I want answers. Now. I would like to set up an appointment with the school superintendent or counselor. I was given a broughshure on how to get my child set up for on-line classes. When I went to do so I could not due to the fact that the counselor has not filled out the section the school needs to fill out. I am at my wits end with this nonscence. Seriously, I want answers. I want a reply. I am a phone call away from a lawyer. Sincerely, Colleen Akens
