WCC offers an accelerated program, cross-registration, distance learning, dual enrollment of high school students, ESL, an honors program and weekend college. Admissions

Students

The student population is fairly small with an average of 3,000-4,000 students attending each year. However, the student body at WCC is quite diverse, with students of many different nationalities present on campus.

Students have many different ways to get involved. The Office of Student Life will provide its students with a wide range of information on various way to get involved on campus. Some of these ways include athletics, clubs and organizations. The goal is to help students maximize their learning experience through extracurricular involvement at the school.

Athletics

George C. Wallace Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association as well as the Alabama Community College Conference. Sports include men’s baseball and women’s fast pitch softball. Scholarships are awarded to some eligible student athletes. To be considered for an athletic scholarship, a student must be recommended by a member of the coaching staff.
