Students

Campus life can be rewarding for students. Many student organizations can be found on the campuses as well as performing arts, and Panthers athletics. The Wignell Museum/Gallery is located on the main campus in Rancho Cucamonga, providing anywhere from four to five exhibitions per year, as well as family programs, performances, and lectures.

The college takes part in a program called the One Book, One College Committee. This committee is a collaborative effort among faculty, staff, students, and administration in which every year a different fiction or non-fiction book is chosen to be read by everyone. Then each semester the committee holds several free events related to the book. In December, the committee votes on a new book.

There are three separate campuses: Rancho Cucamonga, Chino, and Fontana.

Athletics

The athletics department offers men’s and women’s sports teams including swimming, soccer, water polo, basketball, and track and field. Other men’s sports are baseball and football while women’s sports also include softball and volleyball. The Panthers are part of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA).

The college also has a dance team which performs at all football home games, as well as all basketball home games. Other performance include rallies, fundraisers, and special events.

Chaffey is unique in its athletic program with an Athletic Hall of Fame, established in 1995. Since the opening, the Hall of Fame has inducted 89 alumni and the 1947 football team who made it to the Junior Rose Bowl. Every year in April inductees are honored at a special awards banquet.
