I attended LARS well back in my days it was LARW. The school was still in NoHo where we recorded in "The Vault" (hahaha you old alumni know wht i'm talking about) we had alot of one on one time and it was about learning. I've been to the new school and I apologize for saying this but the equipment is top notch but the teachers are garbage. Anyhow my certificate made good recycling paper for all it was worth. I've paid off my debt and work in the industry, but LARS didn't place me.

I attended the school in '02-'03. i was there at a good time. parking was free then, the instructors were great and they had everything needed to learn about audio engineering, even some video. it was very comprehensive and I learned a lot; however, it wasn't worth $12,000. maybe if it had eventually resulted in a high paying job i would feel differently. But that was partially my decision.

I attended the Los Angeles Recording Workshop between 1991 and 1992, long ago! For me it was a very good experience and I got a lot out of it. Was very happy to find it on the Internet again. As I read, Christopher is still the owner and Steve is still there too. In case somebody from the school read this: best greetings to everybody and thank you guys! I attended the recording engineer program, which was a big waste of money. I did learn things but not 10,000 dollars worth. If you don't know much about recording don't waste your time. If you are desperate to get into recording, find some studios and tell them you will volunteer yourself as a runner, that's were you will be anyway after graduating, except you wont owe all that money.

I graduated from this school and i must say the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Don't waste money on this school , the people who run this school are a joke and some of the teachers that work there dont help students like they should. They have no free parking, you must instead pay for parking or find free parking if your lucky. If any problems arise the director of education steve miller always pretends he does'nt "Hande that". The music industry is at its worse point ever making even exceptionally hard to get a job in this field once you graduate. Be prepared to have to pay the loan back if you decide to come to this school.
