The Southern California Institute of Architecture, was founded in 1972 by Ray Kappe, with Thom Mayne among its founding instructors and Michael Rotondi among its first students. SCI-Arc, as it’s commonly referred to, relocated from Santa Monica in 2001 and is presently located in the Artist District in Downtown Los Angeles on Santa Fe St, between 3rd and 4th in a former train depot.

Southern California Institute of Architecture is unique in its study options.
