    William Jessup University is a small non-denominational Christian college located in Rocklin, California. The University got its start as San Jose Bible College in 1939, in San Jose. By 1951, with the school expanding and the San José State University across the street encroaching, San Jose Bible College moved to an attractive parcel bordered by Coyote Creek, and fronted by 12th Street. The name was changed to William Jessup University d.b.a San Jose Christian College. As of the fall 2006 demographic report, William Jessup University is 71% white, 8% Latino, 6% African American, 4% Asian, and 11% other or undisclosed. Recently, William Jessup University developed community college transfer agreements with sixteen community colleges in California. Among the community colleges that signed agreements are Sierra College, American River College, Sacramento City College, Cosumnes River College, Folsom Lake College, and Yuba College.
