Colorado Christian University (CCU) is a nondenominational evangelical Christian University. The college was founded in 1914 as the Denver Bible Institute, which became the Denver Bible College and then, in 1949, changed its name to become Rockmont College. In 1981, Rockmont merged with Western Bible College, renaming itself Colorado Christian College; in 1989, Colorado Christian College merged with Colorado Baptist University to become Colorado Christian University.
