Wales University (JWU, J&W) is a private, nonprofit, coeducational, career oriented university. Wales University is to empower its diverse student body to succeed in today’s dynamic world by integrating general education, professional skills, and career-focused education. The University currently has seven academic units: the College of Business, the College of Culinary Arts, the Hospitality College, the School of Technology, the Alan Shawn Feinstein Graduate School, the Graduate School of Education, and the John Hazen White School of Arts & Wales University is well-known for their culinary program, with one prominent alumnus of the program being Emeril Lagasse and another being Top Chef 2 contestant Sam Talbot. The University is career-oriented, requiring students to take three courses in career management before graduation (Introduction to Career Management, Career Planning and Career Management Capstone). In addition to the on-campus academic buildings the university also operates three hotels used as practicum education facilities for the schools Hotel Management, Food Service Management, and Culinary Arts degree programs. JWU is awesome! The porfessors are great and the cirriculum is very focused. You don't have to worry about taking classes that you don't need. You get to know your classmates so well that it almost feels like a family. Do yourself a favor and at least consider JWU for college. Visit the campus and talk to the professors. You won't be sorry!
