Unique Programs

Students at either campus may choose to complete part or all of a degree online. Online learners complete classes at their own pace and schedule. A 24/7-phone number is available for technical help. Students meet a variety of people from all over the country who are also studying online and also have one-on-one interaction available with the instructor and a Student Services Coordinator. The only requirements for online learning are a computer, an internet connection, and an e-mail address. Students can choose from 6 different degrees to earn online:

Admissions

Applicants must complete an enrollment agreement and application. Students who want to transfer credits from another school must include an official transcript as part of their application process.

The university strives to admit anyone who is willing to attend classes. However, applicants must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent (GED), and successfully complete an entrance exam or a personal interview with an admissions representative.

Students

The coursework here is heavily centered on hands-on teaching methods, relying less on lecture-based learning methods. Students use laboratories for most of their training. Students have their choice of day, evening and online classes so they can create a schedule that fits around their family and work lives.

The campus offers spacious classrooms, laboratories, a student lounge and administrative offices. It is located in the town of Brandon, which is halfway between Tampa and Plant City.

Accreditation

Accreditation is granted by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges Schools to award associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees and diplomas. The university is also authorized to enroll nonimmigrant alien students, and is also approved for the training of veterans.

The Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants endowment (AAMAE).
