Prospective students wanting to transfer credits from their previous school must provide an official transcript as part of their application package.

All applicants must complete an application and enrollment agreement before beginning classes.

Although the university strives to admit anyone, regardless of their situation, applicants must have at least one of the following: a high school diploma, or the equivalent (GED), and successfully complete an entrance exam or a personal interview with an admissions representative.

The campus offers large classrooms, but small class sizes, state-of-the-art laboratories and a communal student lounge.

The school is located in Lakeland, the largest city in Polk County, which is halfway between Tampa and Orlando.

Additional School Information

Students at either campus may choose to complete part or all of a degree online. Online learners complete classes at their own pace and schedule. A 24/7-phone number is available for technical help. Students meet a variety of people from all over the country who are also studying online and also have one-on-one interaction available with the instructor and a Student Services Coordinator. The only requirements for online learning are a computer, an internet connection, and an e-mail address. Students can choose from 6 different degrees to earn online:

  • Accounting (Associate’s)
  • Business (Associate’s)
  • Business Administration (Bachelor’s)
  • Criminal Investigations (Associate’s)
  • Criminal Justice (Associate’s or Bachelor’s)

Accreditation

Accreditation is granted by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges Schools to award associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees and diplomas.

The Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants endowment (AAMAE).
