The total academic offering at Full Sail University is comprised of two associate degree programs, ten bachelor’s degree programs and two master’s degree programs. The schools programs are somewhat accelerated as compared with those of other universities, as the typical associate program at Full Sail University takes only one year, bachelor’s programs taking an average of 20-30 months, and master’s programs averaging a year or little more. The academic terms themselves are different than those at most universities, as a monthly course system is used instead of the traditional academic semester system.
Virtually all of the degree programs at Full Sail University have to do with the entertainment industry or information technology (and in the latter case, with an emphasis on its impact on the entertainment industry). The two associate degree programs are, not surprisingly, in Graphic Design and Recording Engineering. There is the Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business degree program which can be continued into the school’s Master of Science in Entertainment Business program. Given the nature of all the programs, all of the associate, bachelor’s and master’s programs are in the sciences and not in the arts.
Finally, it is worth pointing out that the online academic offering of Full Sail University is even more extensive than its on-campus offering, with six master’s degree programs as opposed to the two offered on-campus. Not all on-campus programs are offered online (and vice versa), however.
