Ashworth was great school for me I got mt A.S. in Criminal justice then Transfered to a Regional Accredited (lynn university)college. It took me a while but not as long as i expected to find a ra accredited school that would take their credits. But their were lot more than I expected a lot. Ashworth is great and DETC Accreditation is good could be great if they fix the transfer credit problem I know that their a lot of schools that do accept but not all schools great would mean all. It was a great experience and ashworth is a great college

Does anybody have anything positive to say about Ashworth College - online degree program? My son is taking his second course toward his Associate's Degree and I want to make sure that he can get credit for his courses if he needs to show that he does have college credit. Someone please give me positive feedback! National Accreditation has to mean something! Thank you.

This information is for anyone taking classes or thinking about taking classes at Ashworth College. I finished my classes in 2007. I was paying for them monthly, and I was current in my payments when I requested that transcripts be sent to a potential employer. They sent the transcripts, only for the classes that were paid for in full. So, instead of telling the potential employer that I had completed the required classes to receive my associates degree, they sent information for 15 credits. Needless to say, I did not get the job! You have not heard the worst part of my experience with Ashworth College. After I enrolled in another university, and they sent the same number of credits to the university, which is how I found out about the problem in the first place. I have since paid Ashworth College off in full, going into debt, with interest! Unfortunately, Ashworth College only sent me a diploma---no transcripts, still!! I have requested that they send me a copy, I have requested that they send my current university a copy, but there has been nothing. I get the same response every time I talk to someone at the college--We will send them!!! I realize that a stamp costs .42 cents now, so I asked them to fax the transcripts. I was told they would fax them. That was December 16, 2008. The university is still waiting for their fax, and I am still waiting for my copy. I have decided to give them until Friday, January 9,2009. If I do not receive my copy and the university I am currently attending does not receive their copy, on the following Monday, I will have an attorney request my "paid in full" course transcripts. I am hoping that it does not come to that, but I can not afford for Ashworth College to cause me to lose another opportunity for me to advance.

For the last three weeks, on numerous occasions, I have e-mailed and called Ashworth regarding the unavailability of the course list. This list is suppose to be available online once you finish the prior class and you receive your books for the next. Without the assigment, it is impossible to proceed in your new class. I have received the "run around" and no resolution. I was told last Tuesday it would be fixed. Two days later I called and they said there were people waiting more than three weeks to get their problems solved - I felt so much better about my predicament!! I have completely paid for this semester. This sounds like a B R E A C H of Contract to me!

Ashworth High School is accredited by SACS which is regional as you state. However Ashworth University is accredited by DETC which is a national accreditation. This can be verified on their website.

Asthworth University has been both enjoyable and challenging for me. As an adult learner with a family and a full time job this has been the only way for me to advance my education and prepare myself for a carrer change. This type of learning enviornment is not for all students, it requires dedication and constant self motivation. Also keep in mind this is an NA school not an RA school so transfer credit can be difficult.

The only bad experience I've encountered is completing all of the courses and not being able to recieve my degree, due to financial obligations. I am continuing to pay monthly, but I am still not able to be issued the degree until my financial obligations are met.

My experience with Ashworth started out ok. I was pretty happy with the self-paced structure and flexibility of at-home study. However, the wait for help over the phone was totally unbelievable! No matter what time I called the helpline, the wait was over an hour! How disappointing! After recently receiving an Associates in HR Management, my experience has been nothing but a big headache! I wished to transfer my credits to another school, however they repeatedly sent them to the wrong address. This has caused me to be knocked into a lower financial level than what I can afford. I am more than unsatisfied with this school. I will definately not be recommending it to anyone, nor would I choose to attend this school in the future.
