Valdosta Technical College
Introduction
Valdosta Technical College, located at 4089 Val Tech Road in Valdosta, Georgia, is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school provides continued adult education programs in a variety of fields, including health care, technology, and business. Diploma programs fall into these three fields, while degrees awarded by the school include the Associate of Applied Science, and the Associate Degree in Nursing. Technical Certificates of Credit are a third option for students at Valdosta, and can be earned upon completion of a course that may range from several weeks to one-year long. A knowledgeable career services department is also on hand at “The Job School” to help students find placements in their desired field, as well as create resumes which highlight their talents and hone their interviewing skills.

The application procedure for admission to Valdosta Technical College varies depending on the degree sought. Regardless of the degree or program, students must submit a completed Application for Admission and a non-refundable $15.00 fee. Students must indicate their residence status and provide proof of this status for admissions and tuition determination purposes. Official transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary schools attended must also be included with the application packet. Students who have not taken the college’s placement test in the past five years must do so.
Students enrolling in the non-credit continuing education section must submit the Application for Admission, but are not required to submit an application fee, undergo placement testing, or show proof of secondary education requirements.
