    AIB College of Business is an independent, nonprofit, coeducational college of business in Des Moines, Ia. In 2000, the college changed its name from American Institute of Business to AIB College of Business to better reflect its mission and purpose. The college also offers Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) degree programs in the fields of Accounting, Business Administration, Realtime Reporting, including Judicial, Closed and Voice Captioning, Office Administration, Travel and Tourism, and Information Technology. AIB is dedicated to its mission of providing quality educational opportunities that prepare students to build careers in business. The college features the following on-campus living accommodations to students: The mission of Adult Students on Campus (ASOC) is to enhance the college experience of non-traditional students at AIB. The mission statement is to give students the opportunity to associate directly with members of the business community. Business Management Association (BMA) is dedicated to the mission of preparing members to pursue careers in business and to developing members who will be assets to the community and society. Business Management Association was established in 1981 and is a student chapter of Leadership Network, the Des Moines Chapter of The National Management Association. The college chapter of Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) provides students with a better understanding of the accounting profession through direct association with members of the business community. SCRA educates members about Realtime Reporting as a profession and provides support and encouragement among fellow reporting students. The goals and purposes of the organization include having an organization of Realtime Reporting students to supplement the learning and goals of the classroom environment, conducting seminars and clinics in order to broaden the students’ knowledge of Realtime Reporting, establishing contacts with working reporters, encourage participation in professional organizations and encourage service to others. SGA is made of representatives from residents’ hall councils, student organizations, and members of the college community. Students complete a five page marketing plan which they then present at the student competition at the annual national convention. AIB College of Business has been voted the “Best Iowa Business School” eight of the past nine years, including in 2006.
