I attended IWC in the 70's and had a superb college experience both academically and socially. The classes were small and the faculty was outstanding. Dr. Khan, an East Indian philosophy professor, and Dr. Sheppard in the history department stand out in my memory. Of course, anyone who went to Wesleyan in the last half of the last century knew Prof. Mildred Bensmiller as the quintessential Shakespeare expert. The dorms were quite cohesive communities of a wide range of students from all over the country and internationally as well. If you wanted a wild party with a bathtub of "punch" it was available; and if you preferred a concert by the excellent A Capella Choir under Burton Mahle you could go for that. We were some of the first college students in the country, I believe, to "streak" in mid-winter to let off stress from finals. I could go on, but needless to say, a lot of great memories and an outstandingly rich academic culture for such a small liberal arts college.
