    Indiana University/Kokomo, founded in 1945, is a public, coeducational institution. The campus is located in a rural area of Kokomo. Total undergraduate and graduate enrollment is 2734.

    The graduate business school was founded in 1992 and is located on the main campus. The basic educational approach is a balanced mix of theories, cases, and experiential learning.

    Thirty total credits are required to complete the MBA, including 6 elective credits. Required courses include:

    The minimum time permitted to complete the master’s degree program attending part time is 2 years; maximum, 6 years.

    There are 14 total full-time graduate business faculty, of whom 87% hold a doctorate. Faculty salaries are rated average for Category IIB institutions, based on the AAUP rating system. Average number of courses faculty teach is 6; average business class size is 22.

    Computers

    Graduate business students need not have their own PCs. Computer user rooms are open to all students.

    International Students

    International students must take the TOEFL. International students must score 550 on the Paper-Based TOEFL (PBT). They also must submit a translation of their transcripts and proof of adequate funds to cover 1 year of study. There is a $50 transcript processing fee. The application deadline for fall entry is open.

    Calendar

    The school operates on a traditional semester basis. Semesters are 16 weeks long; summer sessions, 6 weeks. Graduate programs are offered during the evening only.

    A bachelor’s degree is required. The formula for using the GPA and GMAT scores is (200 x GPA) GMAT, or minimum 1000. A strong mathematics background is required.

    The number of applicants for the 2006-2007 class was 21; 16 were accepted; 16 enrolled. The average GPA was 3.39; average GMAT score was 554. Transfers are accepted.

    Students may begin the MBA program in the fall, spring, and summer. To apply, students must submit an application form, a transcript, GMAT scores, and an application fee of $40. The application deadlines are August 1 for fall entry; December 1, spring; April 15, summer. Students are notified on a rolling basis of the admissions decision. Once accepted, students may defer admission.
