    Metropolitan Community College (Metro, or formerly, Metro Tech) is a public community college located in Omaha, Nebraska. Founded in 1974 when the Nebraska State Legislature consolidated the state’s eight technical community college areas into six, the system was originally named the Metropolitan Technical Community College Area.
