My daughter went to Michaels and the stress of the infighting between teachers and students stressed her out to no end. She ended up leaving the school. Unfortunately, she was at 25.58% completion. At 25% they hold 40% of tuition - over 25% they keep 70%. Seeing that my daughter was so close to the 25% mark, we asked for some consideration to hold only the 40% amount and they refused. The person, Kelly Edwards in financial aid never, and I mean never, returns a phone call. We are giving this to over to our attorney.

I just graduated from Michaels and I was so sad to leave. The feeling you get when you walk into to the building is undescribable !! Everyone is so nice, and so welcoming it feels like your going to visit your best friends everyday !!! I learned so much and they helped me get into a salon right out of school. This Paul Mitchell School was such a rewarding experience for me that I'd love to become a Learning Leader. This way, I can give back all the excitement and magic to other Future Professionals that the Paul Mitchell School provided for me. I highly reccommend this school to anyone. YOU'LL LOVE IT !!!!

Wow, you ladies have alot of time on your hands... Look, Michael's is a good school. I went there, and you have your bad days, but at least at Michael's we could have fun and express our creativity. We could be who we want to be. It is welcoming there, and Paul Mitchell is an added bonus! : )

Yes, someone from this school definately posted a " fake Good recommendation" about this school. Dottie is a drama queen, gossipy.. and a complete flake. Michael needs to get rid of Miss P and Miss G. They need to get a better class of instructors in there. These ladies are drama, drama, drama, and need to get to work!!! too busy gossiping about learner leaders and students. Nasty and manipulative to people they don't like...Wake up Michael!!

OMG, This last comment must had been writen by an employee or Dotie herself. The staff at Michaels is incompetent and bizzar. There is so much gossip between the teachers and the school staff. Micheal can't keep his hands off the girls at the school it creeps us out. This isn't the first time that he has had a stundent as a FB. We all know that the fighting between the staff there is dumb, they get us involved. They all lie and treat each other like ass. When something happens we get asked questions and made to feel like we have to lie for Miss. P and Miss G. Miss P has her favorites and they get out of trouble all the time they can do what they want, all you have to do is kiss her ass and bring her coffee. But if she doesn't like you then you get in big time trouble. She reads out of the book when she is in our class and is so boring we hate when our teachers are out sick.

Wow, it is sad to hear that this other woman had a horrible experience. I actually graduated the program at Michael's School of Hair Design and I have absolutely no complaints at all! This is a Paul Mitchell School, which is the reason I joined in the first place. Paul Mitchell The School's motto is "Be Nice Or Else" And I truly believe that they lived up to that expectation. When I initially came to this school for information, they supplied me every detail that I needed prior to paying the $150 admissions fee. Honestly, when I went to Blaine, they didn't give me any information, and they were the ones that made me feel pressured to pay the fee in order to get info!! Michael's however did not do anything of the sort. I met with Dottie as well, and she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met!! If you knew her at all you would know that bubbly personality that she exudes is truly who she is as a person! I was shocked when I read that about her! Kelly in financial aid ROCKS! On top of guiding me through the loan process, she gave me a HUGE packet of information about Scholarships that would help me lower my tuition! The admissions department even offered to sit with me and talk about what scholarships I am eligible for. I can't imagine anyone having a horrible experience with these options! Especially becuase I am one that graduated the program, and I know these people on a personal level. Michael's is a great education, which stands out above many others in the area because of Paul Mitchell Partnership, and the opportunities that grads have all across the country are endless!

So if anyone is ever interested in going to Michael's school in Bedford NH dont!! Even if its close to your home, its nothing but fake people and lies. Never mind in order to meet with financial aid or even find out about the school you have to pay $150. The financial aid does nothing for you unless you have rich parents that are going to pay everything for you. Do yourself a favor and look at other schools and you will realize how shitty Michael's is. So heres my lovely experience.. I met with Dottie in admissions who had that valley girl fake speech and tilting of the head. Which I'm sorry but that indicates stupidity. Then I find out when sitting with her that I can get a tour of the building and a free quick up-do. Which I had. But at that point I thought I would get some info on the curriculum, cost, and financing options ect. When I asked about this I was asked for $150 dollars. I was stupid enough to pay thinking all school were like this and it would be a in depth meeting. Well no not at all. I sat with financial aid who had the same tilting head action when speaking in a high pitched tone. While that was annoying the first words out of her mouth was "this wont take long", which I automatically knew this was a mistake. She applied online to fafsa.com, which is a federal pell grant and she then says "oh your borderline, you don't qualify for any money", so I asked what she meant by borderline. All she could say was "oh I don't know..they do there thing..whatever it is..and make there decision". In the end I was qualified for 2 federal stafford loans in the amount of $7500 (which is not based on your credit). So in the end she tells me I need to come but with $10,000 in one week in order to attend. That my only options is to get a Sallie Mea Loan with a co-signer (which depends on credit) I walk out with one hand written piece of paper and no info on any other options. Its been about a month since then and I've been calling her with a few questions and I cannot get a call back from this horrible school. I have since looked at 6 different schools in MA and NH and not one has asked for $150 in order to get all the info about the school. I had so much fun talking to the people at these other school and not a single one was as falky as people at Michaels and everyone gave me so much info. I left each school with a smile because people were real and down to earth. I also get my phone calls returned promptly along with emails with more info. Anyways, I made my decision on which school I'm going to attend and its Catherine Hinds School of Esthetics in Woburn Mass. It has 20,000 square feet and 300,600,900 and 1200 hours programs. Im interested in 1200 hours at 15,000 which ill be certified as a Master Esthetician in spa and medical esthetics. The financial aid office was great. The women there gave me every piece of info I was looking for and I can get 2 stafford loans for around 11,000. She also is going to try harder to get me a federal pell grant because I just got laid off from my job. So that leaves me with around 5,000 I have to get. I have 2 options, which is pay directly to the school for 10 months in payments monthly of $500 or try to get a loan for that amount (which I would need a co-signer for) but I did find out that if I get a co-signer after 2 years of paying the loan off I can take the co-sign off. Which is a great option! So anyone looking to go to Esthetics school in Mass go to Catherine Hinds its the best and in NH The Institute of Esthetics in Concord NH.
