Briarcliffe College Academics
Briarcliffe College is a career-focused institution accredited by The Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The college offers a variety of associate and bachelor degrees within five academic programs: business administration, accounting, criminal justice, digital photography, and graphic design.
The associate degrees offered by Briarcliffe College are:
- Associate in Applied Science in Accounting
- Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration
- Associate in Science in Criminal Justice
- Associate in Applied Science in Graphic Design
- Associate in Applied Science in Computer Networking
The college also offers bachelor degrees in the following:
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting
- Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in one of the following areas of study: Management, Marketing, or Information Technology
- Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design
In addition, Briarcliffe College has online degree programs for students interested in a more flexible learning environment. Students interested in online programs must be enrolled in a degree program, either part-time or full-time.
Briarcliffe College Admissions
Briarcliffe College is open to all students interested in furthering their education, who have graduated with a diploma from a secondary school or equivalent, or are transferring from another institution. Prospective students are required to contact Admissions for instructions on how to apply.
Briarcliffe College Financial Aid
Briarcliffe College offers several financial aid options. Students may be eligible for grants, loans, scholarships, and student employment. All qualified students must fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which can be completed online at the school’s website.
Financial aid options include Federal Academic Competiveness Grant (ACG), New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), National Science and Math Access to Retain Talent Grant (SMART), Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity (FSEOG), Federal Work-Study, Federal Pell Grant, and Federal Family Educational Loan Programs. In addition, Briarcliffe College awards merit, transfer, and athletic scholarships to qualified students.
Briarcliffe College Students
Founded over 30 year ago, Briarcliffe College serves a wide range of students seeking associate and bachelor degrees in a career-focused environment. Career Services works with area businesses in assisting students with employment options whether it is part-time while attending college, or after graduation when seeking entry-level positions.
Briarcliffe College has three campuses:
- Bethpage campus—located in historic Bethpage, New York, on Long Island
- Patchogue campus—found on the southern shore of Long Island, New York; and
- Queens—located just minutes from Manhattan, in Long Island City
Briarcliffe College Athletics
Briarcliffe College offers several sports for students interested in competitive team sports while pursuing an academic degree. For men the sports options are bowling, lacrosse, baseball, and soccer. Women’s sports choices include basketball, volleyball, softball, and bowling.
The men’s and women’s bowling teams are members of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC). Both teams play approximately 15 certified tournaments per year.
All other sports teams at Briarcliffe College including men’s baseball, lacrosse and soccer, as well as women’s basketball, volleyball, and softball, are part of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The school mascot is the Seahawk.
