I am outraged at the allowed unfairness of certain nursing instructors during the final semester of this year's students. The topics for which this semester's students are being written up on are personal in nature to the point that three students are considering legal counsel. As this is a teaching hospital and these people are still students, instructors should be supportive and provide instruction when student make errors that do not affect the patient. The errors that students are written up for should be verified before the time and money they have wasted to become a graduate of this school is wasted. In the description of the teaching qualities shown on Crouse Nursing web it states that instruction is, respectful and collaborative. Frankly, you have your students so scared to make a move, that they do error, they are students and have not touched patients in quite some time. Instruction of this nature destroys confidence in any student. To wait until their final semester to throw them out and there is no way for them to defend themselves because instructors are always right. Guess they got their money. Lets hope that Middles States is as hard on this school as this school is on their students.

I graduated from Crouse in 1971 & have never been disappointed with the education I got - they were the best!!

I graduated from Crouse Irving Memorial School of Nursing (known now as Crouse Hospital School of Nursing) in 1989. Being an older person returning to school with a family which included three young children at home was a lot of hard work. The experience was one of teamwork as the younger students tutored us older students. Since graduating I have stayed at Crouse Hospital where I am still employeed. Crouse School of Nursing gave me the basis for where I am today in my nursing degree. In a few short months I will be completing my masters degree in health administration and plan to continue working at Crouse.

I graduated from Crouse Irving in 1981 with my diploma. I wish they would bring back diploma programs again!
