The Jefferson Community College varsity team members are collectively known as the Cannoneers, and they have a rich history of sports competition and several exciting rivalries within their conference. The Mid-State Athletic Conference hosts the Cannoneers, and the JCC teams have won over 15 championship titles in a few short years. Men can compete in varsity sports such as baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse and golf, and women can compete in varsity sports such as softball, basketball, volleyball, and more.
Because of the large central park in Watertown, New York, students from the JCC campus are always gathering to play intramural sports or club sports for a more lighthearted alternative to varsity college sports. Students can get involved in the many athletic clubs on campus or participate in student-led yoga classes, martial arts courses, or aerobic fitness sessions.

This zoo is reputed to be one of the best in the nation, and many tourists seek out this destination each year. The town of Watertown itself is a beautiful gem in upstate New York. With a central park that includes miles of walking trails, fountains, benches, tennis courts, golf courts, outdoor concert arenas, and large open sporting arenas, students at Jefferson Community College will always be able to experience the beauty of this town in a safe environment.
