Introduction

SUNY College of Technology at Delhi offers associate’s and bachelor’s degrees via four different divisions. The school is located in Delhi, NY in the Catskills region of New York state. The college offers both traditional classes and online courses and programs. The college has an intercollegiate sports organization and there are also intramural sports offered.

There are Greek organizations on campus as well as student housing and numerous clubs and organizations. Because of the college’s location, there are a multitude of outdoor and cultural activities available in the local area and the college always has something going on.

Academics

SUNY College of Technology at Delhi offers associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees and personal/professional enrichment courses. The college understands that many people would like to pursue higher education but can’t attend traditional classes and thus offers online courses and programs in addition to on-campus programs. There are over 50 different programs offered in 4 different divisions including Applied Sciences, Business & Hospitality, Liberal Arts & Sciences and Technology.

The college offers standard programs typically found at 4-year institutions but there are also some more interesting programs including Adventure Recreation, Club Management, and Culinary Arts Management. There’s also a Veterinary Technology Management program and an RN to BSN bridge program that are both offered via the distance learning program.

Several of SUNY College of Technology at Delhi’s programs are award-winning. The culinary program regularly wins the American Culinary Federation’s New York State Student Team Championships as well as several other prestigious competitions throughout the year. The Computer Aided Drafting & Design Program is a unique program offered only at Delhi and boasts an extremely high pass rate on the American Design & Drafting Association’s national examination. On more than one occasion, Delhi students have achieved a 100% pass rate on the 300+ question exam.

Admissions

SUNY College of Technology at Delhi accepts applications on a rolling basis, which means that students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the programs are full. There are both spring and fall admissions but because of specialized course sequencing, some programs may only be entered in the fall.

In order to be considered for admission, students must complete the SUNY application online and submit it along with a required application fee. Other required documentation includes official high school transcripts, any college transcripts, and GED scores if applicable. In certain cases, supplemental application forms may be required as well. SAT and ACT scores, letters of recommendation, and personal essays are not required unless specifically requested. Students must also submit vaccination records according to New York law upon admission.

Financial Aid

Several different types of financial aid are available at SUNY College of Technology at Delhi including merit-based and need-based scholarships, grants, federally-subsidized loans and work-study programs. Students wishing to apply for aid should begin the process by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) that’s available online starting in January. It’s recommended that the FAFSA be completed as early as possible so that students meet the deadlines for all forms of aid. Athletics

The SUNY Delhi Broncos are members of the National Junior College Athletics Association and their colors are green and white. Intercollegiate sports include men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, cross country and track. Men may also play golf and women have the additional option of volleyball. There are also intramural sports available. SUNY College of Technology at Delhi also offers a fitness center that has facilities and activities sponsored by different departments and organizations so that students may achieve physical health and mental well-being.
