Well Gaza, you're complaining now, should you get what you want? I'm Black and I wouldn't care if there were only a 'White Studies' classes, even though half of history is based on white settlers and Presidents. As for other races, I agree, but don't make it seem like it's a big deal. Everyone can choose which race to study outside of the school, nobody is being forced to learn Black sudies.

In response to the black studies post. My wife, and African American, has been in black studies classes at the masters and PHD level; she is always the only black in the class. Go figure.

What I don't get is the whole "black studies" protest years ago. Why not make a "white studies" program? and another "insert a race here" program for each nationality or color of skin out there. It's ridiculous. What makes studies "black" in the first place? Studies are studies. Why all the labeling? If we should be taught tolerance and respect for other races and cultures, then to that I would say, well no kidding. You don't need a whole set of college classes about it. By giving in to the protests you're just teaching them that if you complain, you'll get what you want, and in this issue specifically its telling them that they're more special than anyone else. All these "diversity" courses and programs are a joke. Anyways, that ends my venting session for the day. I'll be looking forward to the Sweedish-American studies program to begin :) (little sarcasm there)
