The dean is rude and unkind to all and everyone. There has been talk of her stealing from the campus and instead of addressing it to the students as the adults they are, instead the following is posted to the students and they are expected to get upset about it. The school is unfair and money hungry. They allow anyone to enter the school as long as that person can get financial aid.-----The following is directed to everyone in general, no one specific. GOSSIP, RUMORS & HEARSAY There are people that have absolutely no idea of what they are talking about, spreading GOSSIP, RUMORS & HEARSAY. If they would care to know the facts before spreading non-truths, they as well as others, would be much better off. But then again they wouldn't feel like they are right, even though they are far from right. Now the truth. Dr. McCann has accepted a position at another Herzing University campus. She was not fired. Do any of you know of a place that would fire someone and allow them to continue to work? An ad for the position of Academic Dean has been posted for the Akron Campus. A very well qualified replacement will be found. No policies will change. No changes in curriculum or delivery will change. Until a new Academic Dean is selected, and begins work at the Akron Institute of Herzing University, the Program Directors, and myself, will be handling the duties of the Academic Dean. Continue on to read the follow-up below. RUDE, CRUDE and SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE There are a select group of students that feel that they are in command of the school environment. They feel that they are entitled to do, or say, what they want, to whomever they want, whenever they want. This is not acceptable behavior in an educational environment, or in society in general. There are rules that are made, and enforced, for everyone to follow and obey. They are not arbitrary and are meant for EVERYONE. If you are presented with a violation of a rule or policy, you will discuss in a calm voice, not rant and rave in a demanding voice. You will not threaten anyone, or anything. If you do not agree with the violation then you have the right to appeal. The guidelines are well defined and can be found in the Student handbook and the University Catalog. If you are RUDE, CRUDE and SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE, to any member of the faculty or staff, you will be asked to refrain from such action, or asked to leave the premises, or escorted off of the premises by the proper law authority. If escorted off of the premises by law enforcement you are at extreme risk of being dismissed from school with no future ability to return and legal charges may be filed. It has been done before, it will be done again. David L. LaRue Campus President. I personally feel that it's funny that these allegations arise and within the same week she is given a job elsewhere. coincidence?

I am a instructor at the school and i know first hand that none of the students like her

The Academic Dean of this school, Dr. McCann, has been very arrogant and condensending in her approach to me. She uses "honey" instead of my proper name when speaking at me, although I have given my name 3 times to her within one conversation. She also has hung up on me while we were on the telephone with me. A very rude person. If this is how Akron Institute presents themselves, she is a very poor representative.
