    Mount Union College is a 4-year private, liberal arts college in Alliance, Ohio. Mount Union has been ranked for 14 consecutive years as a top regional liberal arts college in the Midwest and is also ranked as a Best Buy for regional liberal arts colleges in the Midwest. Dr. Truman Turnquist, a native of Kipling, Saskatchewan, is interim vice president of academic affairs and dean of Mount Union. Dr. Roger Palutsis, a native of Chicago, Illinois, is currently the team doctor for the current Division III Football Champion Mount Union Purple Raiders. Dr. Canavan has published many professional papers including : Dr. Carol Canavan continues to instruct courses in communication and more recently LS 100 (Liberal Studies 100, the Liberal Arts Experience) lecture classes at Mount Union. Dr. Mason currently instructs various courses in chemistry at Mount Union College including CH 110 (General Chemistry I), CH 111 (General Chemistry II), and CH 220 (Analytical Chemistry). Dr. Mason continues to instruct Chemistry at Mount Union and is an academic advisor for Chemistry majors. Some of the on-campus celebrities for the students and faculty of Mount Union College include Mary and Nancy the Lunch Ladies and George Weimer (Class of 1954). With 45 majors and 56 minors to choose from, Mount Union College offers a wide array of academic coursework in keeping with the liberal arts tradition. Mount Union’s communications students can reach out to their student body through the school newspaper, The Dynamo, or the school’s radio station, 91.1 WRMU. One of the most popular programs for students at Mount Union College is the music program.
