Century College is a private school in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico offering courses in both security and cosmetology and related fields. The school’s main purpose is to provide educational opportunities designed to develop the skills and knowledge for students to become skilled professionals. Education is provided in Spanish only.
All programs of study can be completed in less than a year. Classes are available during the day as well as the evening. Here are a few examples of the courses of study available:
The Barber & Styling course prepares graduates to take and pass the examination of the Board of Examiners and to obtain employment as a barber or other related areas. Graduates are familiarized with techniques and procedures to cut hair, shave, give facials, arrange hairstyles, use chemicals properly, and also learn management techniques. Students learn through a combination of experiences such as lectures, workshops, practices with live models, and visits to trade shows.
The Basic Cosmetology Program was created with the purpose of developing future professionals in the field of beauty. The college provides a comprehensive program including both theory and practice in an environment of a real beauty salon. The course of study includes preparation for the licensing exam.
The Private Detective Program teaches the skills and information necessary to acquire licensing to work as a detective in Puerto Rico. Many graduates find employment in the field of security research.
