Columbia College is a community college located in the Yosemite Community College District in Sonora, California. Established in September 1968 as Columbia Junior College, the college dropped “Junior” in 1978. The college is home to an active student body whose current president is Jayme Johnson. The college offers an Academic Achievement Center as well as a Math Lab for those students who seek extra guidance outside of class time. These surroundings are often the subject of college courses, where nature hikes develop students’ knowledge and opinions on the environment. Columbia College is an institution which is dedicated to delivering high-quality education to its students.
Columbia College Academics
Columbia College is unique in its study options. Students with disabilities are not left alone with programs such as Wheelchair Accessibility, 165 work stations, available in: dorms, libraries, computer centers, student centers, Dorms Wired for Access to Campus-Wide Network, Email Accounts Provided to All Students, Online Course Registration for Freshmen, Computer Repair Service Available On Campus, Computer Helpline Available, Dorms Wired for High Speed Internet Connections and Online Library.
