Several years ago I was enrolled in this school for the massage therapy program. This was prior to the probation of 2007. They never had our text books for our classes to us on time, and the massage tables that we were promised upon enrollment were never received. I had been in the school for almost 6 months and had un unfortunate accident that resulted in the dislocation of my elbow. I went to the administration and asked if I could attend a "book learing" class for the remaining month before we broke for Christmas holiday. According to the doctors, I would be able to take a bodywork session by the time school began after the holiday. They said that wasn't possible, and that I could just take the month off and resume classes again after the holiday. When I returned after New Years and went to check the board for which class I was in and what room to go to, my name was no where to be found. Upon going back to admin, I found out that I had been disenrolled due to non-attendance. They wanted an extra $250 to re-enroll me in the school. Needless to say, I didn't have it. So I transferred to Southeastern Career College (now called Kaplan Institute) in Nashville. While their facility was not as impressive as High Tech, the education was MUCH better, and cheaper as well. They also have a much better record for maintaining the same staff. I would recommend that anyone even thinking about High Tech search elsewhere....you are only going to get ripped off. STAY AWAY!!!

I am a former student of Hight-Tech Institute located in Nashville, TN. For nearly a year, this school has been on probation due to accredidation problems. The school is no longer allowed to offer the degree program. I was enrolled in the degree program for Massage Therapy in January 16,2007 the same day the school was placed on probation. The school kept this information from all students and faculty until September 2007. My bf and I, along with several other students have been cheated out of our $24,000 (cost of degree program) due to the school constantly changing their policy around to get students terminated so they don't have to refund the difference of $12,000 when degree students switch to the diploma program. They've fired instructors for no reason and now have a shortage of instructors in the Massage Therapy program. My bf and I have done everything neccessary on our part to get re-enrolled into the school to finish what few months we have left. The school refuses to return our calls. My bf was actually re-enrolled about 2 months ago. He drove approx. 25 miles (1-way) to get to school for about 2 1/2 weeks when out of the blue he was told Financial Aid had screwed up his loan information and was told not to return until that incident was fixed. When he called the school a few weeks later, they told him that he never was re-enrolled back into school even though he was paying the school and on the attendance record for that time period. I would never, ever recommend this school to anyone. They lie and cheat to get students' money and then terminate them when a student contacts the board and reports them.
