    King College was established in 1867. King College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and is a member of numerous associations, including the Appalachian College Association (ACA) and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU). When the college outgrew its small campus, King’s grandson Isaac Anderson donated land on a hillside east of Bristol and in 1917 the college moved to its present location. Incoming students experience King’s Quest for Significance curriculum that aims to broaden each student’s understanding of the world and their place in it. A variety of extracurricular activities are available to King College students year-round. King also has active intercollegiate and intramural sports programs that utilize the gym, student center, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball diamond, and nature trail. King College offers membership in academic clubs including Kappa Epsilon Honors Society, History Political Science Club, Psychology Club, French Club, Spanish Club, and the Dead Language Society.
