nope..wouldnt advise anyone to go to this school either..they tell you its a 2-2 1/2 year program..thats crap! Ive been there for 4 years now. The school has not been the same since Cindy, Mrs. Cremer, and Tina were there. They made you feel so good about going to school. Sharon was a joke..what a B!#@&..she was so rude and I am so happy to see her go. She once said that the students can be replaced...well look who got replaced now!!!!! HA! As far as the teachers go..we do have a few good ones..and whether they are reporters or not..they really do care...SOME of them. They need to work on their financial aid staff..they obviously dont know what they are doing. They need to tell you how much money (outside of financial aid) and time needs to be dedicated to this program.

Obviously Tired of Slander is NOT a CRIH student but either an administrator or one of those instructors that's on CRIH's payroll collecting a pay-check. All of us students KNOW what we are talking about because we are living this nightmare...Vatterott has several programs under their umbrella that are designed to suck everbody' financial aid. They don't whether or not you ever becom a CSR or not....it's all about the $$. Too bad we didn't have more instructors with spines to stand up and tell the truth!!!!

I would NOT recommend this school to my WORST ENEMY. It's obvious that Tired of Slander must be an administrator at this poor excuse of a school. I attended CRIH for 2 years. And guess what? Vatterott & CRIH are both a real bad JOKE of a school. Vatterott has issues with several programs under their umbrella. This is the way they do business. There is a revolving door for Administrators & Instructors because they DON'T CARE. They are sucking on that financial aid until they can't suck anymore and then they kick you out! They don't care if you are anywhere close to being a CSR or if you even have the theory down. Once the Finanial Aid is gone, you are gone. It's all about the $$$$$....Why do they let students sit in the same speed for months? Because they want the finanacial aid. Do they call these student in and counsel them or attempt to help them pass that test, or even ask "what's the problem"? NO! Because they're just after the financial aid......Unlike Ms. Addison, I do want my money back because the recruiting process is riddled with LIES!

I have no desire to get my tuition back. I am paying my loan back faithfully. Secondly, you're correct that I am a former instructor and graduate of CRIH; and because I've been on both ends of the specturm, I can state my concerns with validity. It has always been about the success of the students. It's true that a school with a large capcity of students will have complaints against an instructor; and I would be crazy to think that no on in that school will have a complaint against me. I'm okay with that, because we don't live in a perfect world. As far as my professional career, with the training I received back in '04 from CRIH, I'm doing very well and have the respect of many of my colleagues. My hope is that things are changing for the better at CRIH, because with the "right" people in the "right" position, CRIH has the potential of producing great reporters!

About the Court Reporting Institue of Houston, and Ms. Addison's comments. It is sad that a previous graduate and teacher of the Court Reporting Institute would ban students from success. What Ms. Addison fails to mention, is she is a graduate and past employer of the Court Reporting Institute. She was one of the poor instructors which students filed complaints. Ms. Addison has started this complaint to smear the school with hopes of receiving her tuition fee's back. It is amazing that someone with Ms. Addison's lack of character would be allowed to work in the court system!

I have been going to the CourtReporting School for a l;ittle over three years. I don't get the help that I need from the instructors. They are never prepared for class and don't know anything about Court Reporting. I feel I am waisting my money at this school. I need transcription help and there is no one to show you how to do a transcript in the computer class. Students have to ask other students how to do one and students don't have time to be helping someone else. My point is that if we are paying to go to school we should have an instructor show us how to do it. And financial aid is nothing but problems because I always get told if I don't get to a certain speed by a certain time they are going to take it away from me. They don't even teach you how to type on a keyboard to get more speed. Someone really needs to do something about this fast. There is always new directors. Why do they always quit so fast? Help!

When Cindy was the director things were going great. When the school got bought out by Valderott, things took a turn for the worse. The current director is a power tripper, she doesn't know anything about court reporting. She was very rude, upon meeting her for the first time. She never gets back to your questions. How did she get the job? Maybe she does have experience in administration, but that does not qualify you to run a court reporting school. My point is, how are you going to truly learn about court reporting if most of the instructors are not court reporters?!

I would not recommend this school to a family, friend, or even an enemy! The administration there is out of control! I am a current student there and if I would have known the outcome of this whole expirence, I would have turned the other way and ran from that school! Since I have been there so long I can not quit now. I will say that since this school has opened, they have gone through so many campus directors, administration has quit on them, and the instructors have quit because the rules change when it is fit for administration to enforce it!!(power trip)! Almost 98% of the instructors there have not been court reporters and then there are the instructors who do instruct the class that try to preach and give advice about how to get out of school and become a working reporter, when they themselves have not passed the state test nor do they have a court reporting license!!! I would definitely not recommend this school to anyone I love, or much less hate!!!!

If I would have known the turn out of the administration of this school I would have turned around and walked away immediately!! This school has made so many changes and none of the rules are in stone. About 98% of the instructors have not been actual court reporters that teach the speed and therory students. And there are a number of instuctors who preach about getting out and passing the state test, when in fact they themselves do not have a court reporting license and have not passed the state test! This school has been through two campus directors, so many instructors have come and go, and it has been bought out and taken over by more than one owner. I would not recommend this school to a family, friend, or even an enemy!!!!!!!

The school does not back their students when needed. Financial aid have failed to come in this term for more than half of the student body. The school has made no attempt to communicate the delay with the students. No formal explanation on why the delay. No answers for the students at all.
