Milan Institute—San Antonio-Ingram Park offers three career training programs including cosmetology-operator, aesthetician-esthetician (also known as a facialist), and instructor. Students studying any of these programs gain experience and expertise in salon business skills as well as the procedures and techniques specific to their field of study.

The cosmetology-operator program earns students a license in which they may use in the following careers: platform artist, professional stylist, makeup technician, product representative, state board examiner, image consultant, skin care specialist, or salon owner or manager.

The aesthetician-esthetician program earns students a license in which they may use in one of the following careers: skin care specialist, makeup consultant, product representative, theatrical makeup artist, platform artist, retail specialist, image consultant, or salon owner.

The instructor program covers all aspects of running a beauty school as well as the field of cosmetology. Students who earn a license through this program can enter careers as a private school instructor, an image consultant, a platform artist, a school administrator, the director of Education, a product representative, an education consultant, or a school owner/manager.

Milan Institute Admissions

Milan Institute—San Antonio-Ingram Park is open to all students interested in pursuing career training in one of the many fields of cosmetology. To apply to the institute, prospective students should contact the school directly; or, fill out and submit a contact form online for the campus of their choice. Once the form is received, an Admissions representative contacts the student with further instruction.

Milan Institute Financial Aid

Milan Institute—San Antonio-Ingram Park offers several options for financial aid including grants, scholarships, and loans. All qualifying students are required to fill out a Free Application for Student Federal Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for financial assistance.

To help the process run smoothly, the Milan Institute assigns a finance advisor for each qualifying student to assist them through the financial aid process and to provide explanations of all aid available.

Located in one of the nation’s largest cities, Milan Institute—San Antonio-Ingram Park serves students seeking on-the-job training while earning a license within one of the many areas of study in cosmetology.

The school provides an on-campus salon and spa operated by students, under the supervision of experienced and qualified instructors. The salon and spa provide a variety of services including facials, hair and nail services, microderm treatments, as well as waxing services.

Milan Institute uses up-to-date equipment for its salons to provide the best hands-on experience for its students. The school also offers smaller class sizes to maintain better one-on-one attention for the students.

In addition, Milan Institute offers a career services facility which helps students develop their resume and assists them with job placement opportunities after acquiring their license.
