In 1973, it began using only college curriculum and changed its name to Schreiner College. The college experience changed again in 1982 when it became a four-year college. Schreiner University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award masters, baccalaureate and associate degrees. The University holds membership in the American Association for Higher Education, The American Council on Education, the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities, the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities, and the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas. This completed the transition for Schreiner University, from a commuter college to a university committed to student life.

Schreiner University Admissions
This school requires an application fee consisting of twenty-five dollars regular application fee, twenty-five dollars out-of-state application fee, twenty-five dollars online application fee and point zero .
