Southwestern Christian College (“SwCC”) is a historically black college in Terrell, Texas operated by members of the Churches of Christ, making it the sole extant institution of its kind. Southwestern’s junior college graduates typically earn the Associate of Arts degree, and have a much higher than average success rate upon transfer to four-year institutions, whether historically black or not, than is typical of junior college graduates or college students as a whole.
