This is my second year at the University of Houston Downtown and I have never had an issue with racism. In fact, the faculty is very nice and respectful. I have only had one teacher that I didn't really like but only one in two years isn't bad. Sounds like Richard is bitter and negative. I have never even heard anyone at the school complain about racism. Everyone seems to love the new president.

In my experience, I have never encountered a racist faculty. UHD is a very diverse university and I love the fact that they offer an opportunity to first genereration college students. The President was selected based on qualifications, and not race. Racial diversity is what you will find at UHD. I wish that people would move foward from racial criteria (RICHARD) and start focusing on merit.

If not for the overtly racist faculty, the U of Houston-Downtown would be the nicest and most multi-cultural university on the world. The board of regents attempts to "white-wash" this openly raw ulcerous poison, the racism, by keeping a token Hispanic at the helm.
