Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) is an accredited four-year Christian liberal arts university located in Harrisonburg, Virginia. EMU is known internationally for its Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, as well as its undergraduate program that requires cross-cultural study. In 1994, the name was changed from Eastern Mennonite College to Eastern Mennonite University, to reflect its graduate business administration and counseling programs. Eighty-three percent of EMU graduates who applied in the past five years to medical school were accepted (compared to national average of 47 percent). During the past five years 95% to 100% of the elementary, secondary and special education EMU graduates seeking teaching positions were employed. Eastern Mennonite Seminary offers a master of divinity, master of arts in church leadership, master of arts in religion, and a one-year certificate.

Admission policy is currently Percent applicants admitted: 77% and Percent of students who return for sophomore year: 74%. Remember that this can change at any time. Transfer student are not ignored.
