In addition, Strayer University—Online offers graduate certificates in business administration, accounting, and information systems.

The online programs offered prepare students for the real world by focusing on theoretical as well as practical knowledge.
The online courses at Strayer University are offered in two formats: synchronous or asynchronous. The synchronous format is similar to a classroom meeting where students and instructors meet online at the same day and time each week. Lessons are conducted through live audio from the instructor which includes a “virtual blackboard.” Students even have the capability of raising their hand to ask questions, by using text messaging. Asynchronous format is where students participate in the course when they have the time, whether it is in the morning, afternoon, evening, or the weekend. The university provides students the access to recorded lectures, video presentations, and other supporting materials using the Internet. Real chats with other students taking the same course are also available.
All software is free and downloadable from Strayer University’s website. All online students should have a computer and Internet access. In addition, online tech support is available for students enrolled in any online program, as well as online tutoring, and an online bookstore.
