Green Mountain College is a coeducational private liberal arts college located in Poultney, Vermont, in the USA. The College is sometimes known as Vermont’s Environmental Liberal Arts College and has a population of students that reflects the environmentally-focused mission of the institution. Green Mountain is located in the Vermont countryside, in the Green Mountains, which run north-south along the western half of the state of Vermont. In 1974, the school changed its name to Green Mountain College and returned to coeducational status, offering four-year baccalaureate degrees to both men and women.
