Tourism Cares

Grants, Student Loans, & Fellowships

Tourism Cares is a non-profit organization created by combining the Travelers Conservation Foundation and the national Tourism Foundation. The organization was created to preserve the travel and tourism experience for future generations by donating money toward maintaining historical sites and tourist landmarks around the world. The organization also provides scholarships, grants and financial aid to students studying within the travel industry to allow future generations travel opportunities and the ability to advance the travel and tourism experience.

The organization also develops volunteer opportunities for those who are passionate about the travel industry and wish to preserve historical landmarks that are integral to tourism. Their overall mission is to do whatever it takes to make sure there will still be efficient tourism opportunities available for future generations.

Tourism Cares offers up to $100,000 worth of scholarships each year to academic, professional development and service-learning students primarily in the United States and Canada. They provide these opportunities to students pursuing a career in the travel industry in order to improve the workforce and encourage students who are passionate about the industry but may be held back due to financial need. They also hold a yearly convention, the Tourism Cares Experience the Industry Student Program, which allows students to meet renowned members of the travel and tourism world, attend discussions, and take advantage of learning and networking opportunities.
