Professor's research on salmon published in National Geographic September 29th
University of Montana professor Jack Stanford made headlines in National Geographic last month for his research on wild Pacific salmon in Russia.<p>“You sustain the ecosystem and the local people in that watershed by protecting the wild salmon,” Stanford said.</p><p>National Geographic featured Stanford, UM Bierman professor of ecology and director of the Flathead Lake Biological Station, in a story that spanned 32 pages about his research in Russia’s remote Kamchatka Peninsula.
