Everglades University Academics
Everglades University is a private college with three locations in Florida. The school is tailored to busy, working professionals looking to improve their knowledge and skills in their chosen field.
Everglades University offers undergraduate degrees in business administration, applied management, aviation management, alternative medicine, and aviation technology. It also has graduate degrees in business administration and aviation science.
The master’s degree in aviation science is geared toward professionals already in the field including flight crewmembers, air traffic controllers and maintenance technicians. Classes in the program include aerospace logistics, aircraft simulation and advanced crew resource management procedures.
The 123 credit hour bachelor of science degree with a major in Aviation Technology offers courses in general education and management. The program is geared towards new students as well as seasoned veterans established in the field. Credit may be earned by FAA certificates.
The construction management program is a bachelor of science degree that offers classes in construction contracts, building codes and quality control and managing a construction project. The program prepares students for careers as construction project managers or property managers.
The bachelor of science degree in alternative medicine offers courses in herbology, traditional Chinese medicine and homeopathy. Classes are geared towards new students as well as practicing healthcare professionals.
The 123 credit hour bachelor of science in aviation management is designed to prepare students for an entry-level career in aviation management. The degree focuses on management skills and business knowledge for the aviation and aerospace industry.
Everglades’ aviation programs help industry professionals improve their skills—and, thus, their careers. Students can earn FAA certificates in areas such as air traffic control, aviation management, and flight operations. Many students working toward their degrees in business administration choose Construction Management for a major, and enroll in courses such as Building Codes and Quality Control, Construction Law, Construction Contracts, and Managing a Construction Project.
Everglades University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology.
The university is also a member of dozens of prestigious associations and societies, including the National Association of Colleges and Employers, Florida Career Professionals Association, Society of Human Resource Management, and three chapters of the Association Builders and Contractors.

Everglades University Students
Everglades University was established in 1998 by Arthur and Belinda Keiser. Everglades University’s main campus occupies a 25,000 square foot building in Boca Raton. There are also satellite campuses in Orlando and Sarasota, the latter situated in an impressive natural setting near Lake Osprey.
All three campuses have libraries with extensive print and electronic collections. In addition, the Boca Raton, Orlando, and Sarasota campuses are equipped with computer laboratories, as well as a student lounge.
The curriculum at Everglades University is ideal for the busy professional. Evening, weekend, and online classes are available, and students can attend Everglades University part time or full time. Since many students will be rushing to class from work, all three campuses are easy accessible off major Florida interstates.
The school offers a career placement program that helps students find jobs in the area workplace.
Boca Raton is situated on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The city itself has a population of just over 80,000 people. The Boca Raton Art Museum was built in 2001 and is located in the center of the city. Fun fact: the movie Caddyshack was filmed on location in Boca Raton.
