I received my BA from Marylhurst last year (2009), and I loved every minute on that campus. Why? Because the faculty and staff genuinely care about the success of students and they create a supportive, nurturing environment. With small class sizes, I had several mentors who forever changed my life for the better. As a non-traditional, first-generation student, I don't think I would have made it at a larger university or more impersonal community college. There is so much about academia that high school simply did not prepare me for. At Marylhurst, I thrived! I highly recomend Marylhurst for anyone who is serious about their education and looking for a university that caters to adult and non-traditional students.
