Northeast State Community College is a public, two-year comprehensive community college located in Blountville, Tennessee. It is under the governance of the Tennessee Board of Regents of the State University and Community College System of Tennessee. The college was founded as Tri-Cities State Area Vocational-Technical School in 1966. The institute offers technical education and college transfer programs in Blountville; and also operates sites in Gray, Elizabethton, and Kingsport.

Northeast State Community College is fully accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The College offers associate’s degrees in more than 50 programs of study. It also offers associate of applied science degrees in over 30 programs of study, such as nursing, computer science, criminal justice, business management, and office administration technology that train students for direct entry into the workplace.
Northeast State also offers academic and technical certificates such as accounting technology, automotive service, machine tool operations, chemical process operations, auto body service technology, combination welding, computer-aided drafting, office technology, and construction electricity.
