Given its small private school nature, Nossi students get close attention from faculty members. The coursework starts with fundamentals. Students first learn the basic skills and theories of visual communication. Upon this foundation, the instructors are able to instill advanced, yet practical, techniques.

Faculty and staff are professionals that know exactly what it takes to get hired as a graphic designer, web designer, photographer or illustrator. Mentorship and regular interaction with such talented instructors not only helps prepare students for gainful employment, but has also helped to garner multiple awards for the school. Numerous Nossi students have been honored by the Annual Student ADDY Awards, which is the advertising community’s sole creative awards program.

Admissions

Applicants can complete an official application online, but the school requires that all potential students take a physical campus tour and meet with an admissions representative. This process gets students pre-acquainted with the school and puts them directly in touch with a member of administration.

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required in the form of official high school transcripts or a GED score report.

Students wishing to study graphic art and design or illustration must bring a portfolio of recent work to their interview. Portfolios are evaluated on the basis of skills and creativity as well as potential for professional competence.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available for eligible students. Students can apply for federal financial assistance, which may include grants and student loans, by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. Various art and photography scholarships are also awarded by the college itself. These institutional awards are based on students’ portfolios, which are presented during the admissions interview.

The college’s fixed-tuition guarantee states that a student’s tuition will not increase from his or her enrollment in a program through graduation.
