Brooks Institute

Introduction

Founded in 1945, Brooks Institute is a four-year private media and communication arts college, with locations in Santa Barbara, CA and Ventura, CA. Originally established as a photography school, it now incorporates film, graphic design, visual journalism as well as its devotion to photography. Traditional classwork plus hands-on experiences help this school guide its students towards careers in the media arts.

Students are offered the best in current technology in order to remain competitive in the industries these future artists will be working in. The Ventura campus has access to a former motion picture studio so students can truly experience the environment they will soon be a part of someday, in addition to cameras, sound stages, screen room, and post-production facilities.
