Financial Aid

As soon as the student applies for admission, the student should apply for financial aid. Financial aid is the route that most students take in funding their college career. Tuition for college, book fees and all related expenses can be very costly, and financial aid can help.

Financial aid is available for students based on their financial need. The first step in applying for financial aid is considering all the resources the student may have to help pay for his or her college tuition. Financial aid comes in various forms and it may be placed together with other forms of financial assistance to defer the cost of educational expenses. The student is encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, commonly known as the FAFSA. The form can be completed online or mailed in. There are additional documents that are required with the FAFSA, therefore students need to make sure they have all the necessary information in order for eligibility to be determined. The student may also apply within the school for any scholarships or grants that may be available. It is the student’s responsibility to apply for financial aid every year by the deadline, as failure to do so could result in not receiving enough assistance to continue to meet their education goals.
