I have served at this facility as a volunteer teacher-assistant for a couple of years until suffering a life-threatening illness. I would like to see a rehab program involving working in a vegetable garden to grow food for the facility or for the needy. I don't know if the facility has any usable land, or trustees could be taken to a community garden. I could help as a volunteer as I have had experience in running a small vegetable garden business. There is something healing about working with plants and at present I haven't seen anything beyond the classroom education programs which prepares the kids for a useful life. Please contact me if interested in further discussion.
