    LaGrange College is the oldest private college in Georgia and one of the oldest institutions of higher education for women in the United States. The institution changed its name to LaGrange Female College in 1851, then to LaGrange College in 1934. In athletics, LaGrange College is a member of NCAA Division III with 14 athletic programs, including a new men’s football program, playing an inaugural season in fall of 2006.
