William Carey University is a university in southern Mississippi, in the United States. This day also marked the transition of William Carey College to William Carey University. William Carey University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor and Masters degrees. Dr. Bennie Crockett is Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness in addition to serving as Co-Director for the Center for Study of the Life and Work of William Carey. In addition, Dr. Patricia Ward is the Dean of the School of Education, Dr. Cheryl Dale is the Dean of the School of Business, Dr. Mary W. Stewart is the Dean of the Fail School of Nursing, Dr. Myron Noonkester is the Dean of the School of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences as well as Co-Director for the Center for Study of the Life and Work of William Carey, and Dr. Gene Winters is the Interim Dean of the Winters School of Music.
