Unique Programs

One unique, and very popular, program offered by the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is the Drexel at PIT program. Through this program, students at PIT can utilize their first two years of coursework towards completing their requirements for their Bachelor’s Degree from Drexel. Thus the program essentially allows current PIT students to spend their first two years completing the equivalent coursework required by Drexel. Students then simply finish their last two years with Drexel, and receive their Bachelor’s degree. There are numerous PIT majors available for those participating in this program, including, but not limited to: mechanical engineering technology, business administration technology, allied health technology, and architectural engineering technology. Students interested in the Drexel program must apply through PIT, and must plan to have completed their associate’s degree before matriculating at Drexel.

Financial Aid

The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology seeks to help ensure that as many potential students as possible are able to have the opportunity to pursue a higher education. As a result of this commitment, PIT maintains a friendly, knowledgeable Financial Aid Staff that offers assistance to matriculates as well as potential students. Individual consultation appointments are available for PIT students seeking to discuss different potential avenues through which they might finance their education. The Financial Aid Staff will help with questions related to filling out applications for Federal and State Grant and Student Loan programs, and will also counsel students on the various scholarships available through PIT directly. One unique feature of the financial aid packages put together at PIT, is that many include tuition-reimbursement programs with participating local employers.
