Chattanooga State Technical Community College (or “Chatt State” for short) is a two year community college located in Chattanooga, Tennessee emphasizing technical programs. Originally known as the Chattanooga State Technical Institute upon its founding in 1963, it opened as Tennessee’s first technical college and Southeast Tennessee’s first public institution of higher education.
